About the Tool
Mechanic is the power user's answer to Shopify automation. It can automate virtually any store workflow, from tagging high-LTV customers to generating custom packing slips to sending internal Slack alerts on specific order conditions. Tasks can be written in plain language or Liquid, and the library of community-built tasks covers a surprising percentage of common use cases out of the box. It's more flexible than Mesa or Shopify Flow, but that flexibility comes with a steeper learning curve that rewards teams with some technical confidence.
